Jacek Mainka achieving his goal of flying a Spitfire as a Pole, in Poland, in Polish colours is one of the standout moments of 2014 for me. 
I hope I get to see him in British skies in the coming display season, and other Polish pilots follow him in displaying Poland's deserved heritage in years to come.
